A Patch-Work Weekend

This weekend marks the only one in October that no one in the I Do Declare family is traveling. I was actually planning to be on the road this weekend, but alas, I'm staying put...

That means, I will be continuing the efforts I started last weekend while Mr. W was away, to bring our house from its awful, messy status of a post-Greek Week Frat House.......

scenes from a closet cleaning

to an acceptable, orderly-for-us status of a pre-Parents' Weekend Frat House.

You would not BELIEVE the large construction-size garbarge bags of junk I've collected over this week to be delivered this weekend, by the strapping arms of Mr. W, to both the trash and Goodwill. Seriously - the bags are so heavy I can't even get them down the stairs on my own.

To reward myself for all this hard work, I will escape to one of my favorite places....
I thought Mr. W was going to propose during this trip to a pumpkin patch. When he didn't, I refused to leave, and had to be wheeled away...

A Pumpkin Patch! Hayrides, apple fritters, cowboy boots - I FALL in love every time!

Whatever your plans, I hope this autumnal weekend finds you more gourd...

than bored!!!

Happy Friday, Pumpkins!

I've never seen that pic of you in the wheelbarrow!! I love it. I also love that there are some white pumpkins pictured (the real ones that occur in nature, not to be confused with pumpkins that have been painted white). Happy Fall!!!

I love pumpkin patches! We're going to a corn maze tomorrow night, so I'm hoping to pick up a pumpkin or two for carving! Have fun!
