Dancing in the Dark

Dan's friend Bill is a HUGE Bruce Springsteen fan. He's seen Bruce a zillion times in concert, owns all the albums and has signed guitars hanging in his basement.

So, a few months ago when the concert schedule revealed that the Boss would be playing in Washington, Dan and I got tickets because Bill assured us the show would be top notch, and also because Springsteen is just one of those artists one should see live at least once, right?

Correct! The show, even though I only know mainstream radio hits (and Bruce plays lots of new stuff and unreleased songs that everyone in the crowd but me seemed to know) was really, really good! The crowd was SO into it, and Bruce was a total rockstar. I feel like when you have kind of meh seats...

and aren't a mega-fan, to leave a show where the artist didn't even play your favorite song (Glory Days!) raving about what a showman he was and how skilled his band is, that you got your money's worth! Plus, we got to pregame, on E Street....at Hard Rock Cafe with tourists because.....

the irony (and the cheeseburgers!) were just too much for to me let pass you by!

I've always wanted to see the Boss but no one ever wants to spend the money.
Believe it or not.. I bought Van Halen tickets last night.

Awesome! How fun. A friend of mine's husband is flying to NY to see The Boss in concert with a childhood friend. I am so glad you had fun! Happy Easter, Patra!
