Though I've been to Memphis a hand full of times, I'd only just driven by the Gates. Sarah (also native Knoxville) hadn't been either...
So, with Elizabeth, (native Nashville - those Middle Tennesseeans must caucus with Elvis; she's never been to Dollywood) who is the ultimate Elvis fan and repeat Graceland guest, we - as Elvis might say - took care of business!!
Confession: I sort of loved it!
That's Sarah and me in the TV room. I think Elvis would have loved One Tree Hill, you don't?? I mean, hello Tyler Hilton. Hee.
Bellied up to one of the King's bars...college style. Here's where I would have mixed E a Dolly Partini... Thank you very much, he would have said. Join me for dinner?
That was Lisa Marie's swingset...
It looks just like the model all of us had as little girls, too! Far be it for me to not keep in theme with well, anything, so...appropriately, for lunch at Rockabilly's Diner, I split a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwhich with E (Elizabeth...not to be confused, obvs, with Elvis) that...like the rest of the food I ate while in Tennessee, left my diet, um....all shook up.

Cute. You have the cutest clothes.
I've never been to either Graceland or Dollywood. Don't stop following me. Would like to go at some point.
Y'all look cute and looks like so much fun!
I went to Graceland just 2-years after he died as a child. We lived in Jonesboro, AR.. not too far.
BUT.. I went back 10-years ago as an adult and I confess, I loved it too!
I think they've done a great job with making it a tourist attraction.
Now, I need to make it to Dollywood.
Maybe we can make a trip there together? ;) This Fall? :)
Lord have mercy, we have a house in DeSoto County very near to Graceland. I cannot tell you how many times I've hauled out of town guests up there. Lord me. It's a hoot!
I've always wanted to go there for some reason-I'm much more of a Dollywood girl, myself, but it looks like such a neat place!
